Munich Airport has announced an agreement to provide expert support to Taoyuan International Airport on two major projects.

Taoyuan Airport, situated 30 kilometres to the west of the Taiwanese capital, Taipei, plans to redesign and expand its existing Terminal 2 and add a third terminal with capacity for 45 million passengers per year.

Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed today between the German gateway and Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport Corporation (TIAC), experts from Munich Airport will provide advice and assistance with both projects.

The agreement – which was officially signed in Munich by Dr Michael Kerkloh, the CEO of Munich Airport, and his counterpart with TIAC, David Fei, – will now serve as the basis for negotiating the details of a potential consulting project.
